Data backup and loss liability
At Thurman’s Computer Pros, we take great care to protect your data during all computer cleaning, upgrades, and repair services. However, any service involving hardware or software changes carries an inherent risk of data loss or data corruption.
We strongly recommend all clients back up their data prior to any service being performed. While we will exercise reasonable care, Thurman's Computer Pros is not liable for the loss, corruption, or compromise of data under any circumstances.
Data Backup Responsibility
Clients have the following options:
Self-Backup: You may choose to back up your data on your own prior to service.
Provide Backup Media: You may provide external storage (USB drive, external hard drive, etc.) so that our technicians can assist with data backup prior to service.
Use Thurman's Computer Pros Backup Service ($10): You may choose to have your data backed up to Thurman's Computer Pros' secure server for a $10 fee.
If you do not provide external storage media for data backup, you must sign the waiver attached to your invoice, acknowledging that you:
Have backed up your data independently or
Accept full responsibility for any data loss or corruption that may occur during service or
Agree not to hold Thurman’s Computer Pros, its employees, agents, or contractors liable for any resulting damages.
Price Quoting and Invoicing
At Thurman’s Computer Pros, we are committed to providing transparent and up-to-date pricing for all computer services, including repairs, upgrades, custom PC builds, and cleaning. Please review the following terms regarding our quoting, invoicing, and service process:
1. Price Quoting for Parts and Services
All quotes for repairs, upgrades, and custom PC builds are evaluated at the time of the service request.
Due to market fluctuations in computer hardware pricing, all quotes reflect current part costs and are subject to change.
Quotes are not guaranteed beyond the validity period of the invoice, as outlined below.
2. Invoice Validity
Once a quote is approved, an invoice will be issued to the customer.
The customer has 14 calendar days to pay the invoice from the date of issue.
If payment is not received within this time:
The invoice becomes null and void.
A new quote and invoice must be issued, reflecting current market prices.
3. Service Scheduling
Service will not be scheduled until the invoice is paid in full.
Once payment is received, a date and time will be scheduled for Thurman’s Computer Pros to pick up the customer’s device from the provided location.
We do not offer drop-off options. All service engagements are handled through scheduled pickups.
4. Turnaround Time
Cleaning services have a standard turnaround time of 5 to 7 business days from the date of pickup.
All other services, including diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and custom builds, will have an estimated completion time agreed upon with the customer prior to invoice issuance.
By requesting service from Thurman’s Computer Pros, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined above regarding pricing, invoicing, and service logistics. If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us before proceeding.
